Coinsetter
Information by Research Trustfinance
Founded in 2012 by Jaron Lukasiewicz, Coinsetter was a leveraged bitcoin exchange that aimed to provide a professional and secure trading platform for both individual traders and financial institutions. The company was headquartered in New York City and was notable for being one of the first companies to apply for a BitLicense from the New York State Department of Financial Services (NYDFS). In January 2016, Coinsetter, along with its Canadian subsidiary Cavirtex, was acquired by the major cryptocurrency exchange Kraken. Following the acquisition, all Coinsetter accounts were migrated to Kraken's platform, and the Coinsetter brand and its independent operations were discontinued.
