Established in 1986, CFI Cooperazione Finanza Impresa is a private-law financial company participated by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development (MISE). Its mission is to promote and develop cooperative enterprises by providing financial instruments, primarily through equity participation and quasi-equity financing. CFI specializes in supporting worker buyouts (WBOs), where employees take over a company in crisis or a business being transferred, transforming it into a cooperative. For over 35 years, CFI has been a key player in safeguarding employment and fostering a cooperative business model across Italy.
