Founded in Verona in 1896 as a cooperative society, Società Cattolica di Assicurazione was one of Italy's largest insurance providers, offering a comprehensive range of life, non-life, property, and casualty insurance products. Deeply rooted in its cooperative values and with a strong presence in the Italian agri-food sector, the company served millions of customers through a vast network of agencies. Following a successful takeover bid, Cattolica was delisted from the Milan Stock Exchange in August 2022 and has since been fully merged into Generali Italia S.p.A., now operating as part of the Generali Group.
