Catholic Church Insurance
Information by Research Trustfinance
Founded in 1911 by the Catholic Bishops of Australia, Catholic Church Insurance Limited (CCI) has a long history of serving as the primary insurer for Catholic organisations across the country. Its mission is to support the Church's activities by providing a comprehensive range of insurance products, including property, liability, and professional indemnity, as well as risk management and workers' compensation services. In 2023, due to financial pressures largely stemming from historical abuse claims, CCI announced it would enter "run-off," ceasing to write new or renewal business but continuing to service existing policies and manage claims.
