Founded in 1963, Carlow District Credit Union Ltd. is a local, member-owned financial institution dedicated to serving the community within its common bond area in County Carlow, Ireland. As a not-for-profit cooperative, its mission is to promote the financial well-being of its members by providing accessible savings, fair and affordable loans, and a range of other financial services. Unlike traditional banks, any surplus generated is returned to the members through dividends and improved services, with all decisions made at a local level for the benefit of the community.
