The Business Enterprise Fund (BEF) is a UK-based non-profit, social enterprise and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). Established in 2004, its mission is to provide funding and business support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that are unable to secure finance from mainstream lenders. BEF offers a range of loan products, including Start Up Loans and business loans up to £250,000, to foster entrepreneurship, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth within communities across the North of England.
