Burj Bank Limited
Information by Research Trustfinance
Originally incorporated as Dawood Islamic Bank Limited in 2006, the institution was later acquired by Bank Alkhair of Bahrain and rebranded as Burj Bank Limited. As a full-fledged Islamic commercial bank headquartered in Karachi, it provided a range of Shariah-compliant banking services to retail, corporate, and investment clients across Pakistan. Facing capital adequacy challenges, the bank underwent a sanctioned amalgamation with Al Baraka Bank (Pakistan) Limited, with the merger officially completed in late 2016, at which point the Burj Bank brand and entity ceased to exist.
