British-American insurance co.ltd
Information by Research TrustFinance
Founded in 1920 in Nassau, Bahamas, British-American Insurance grew into a significant international financial services group with operations across the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia. However, its parent company, CL Financial, collapsed in 2009, leading to a major restructuring. Many of its national operations were subsequently sold or placed under judicial management. Today, several national companies, such as British-American Insurance Company (Trinidad) Limited, continue to operate independently under new ownership, focusing on providing life and health insurance, annuities, and investment-oriented products to individuals and groups within their respective regions.
