BrickStreet Mutual Insurance Company was founded in 2006 to privatize West Virginia's state-run workers' compensation system. It quickly grew into a super-regional carrier, expanding its workers' compensation insurance services to other states. In 2017, BrickStreet announced an affiliation with Motorists Mutual Insurance Company, and in 2019, the combined entity was officially rebranded as Encova Insurance, a comprehensive provider of property, casualty, and life insurance products.
