Headquartered in Austin, Texas, the company's mission was to offer a faster, more transparent, and user-friendly alternative to traditional banks for unsecured personal loans, primarily targeting prime and near-prime borrowers. In February 2017, BorrowersFirst was acquired by LendingPoint, another fintech personal loan provider. Following the acquisition, the BorrowersFirst brand and its platform were integrated into LendingPoint's operations, and the brand was subsequently phased out.
