Originally founded as Cassa di Risparmio di Biella e Vercelli, Biver Banca has deep roots in the Piedmont territory of Italy, serving individuals, families, and businesses with a full range of banking products. In November 2017, the company was officially merged by incorporation into its parent company, Cassa di Risparmio di Asti S.p.A. (Banca di Asti). While no longer a separate legal entity, it continues to operate under the well-established "Biver Banca" brand name through its network of branches, maintaining its local identity and customer relationships as part of the larger Banca di Asti Group.
