Established to serve retail and professional clients, the group offered a range of investment services including discretionary portfolio management, advisory services, execution-only stockbroking, and ISAs. In March 2018, the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) declared the firm insolvent and successfully applied to the High Court to place it into special administration, leading to the immediate cessation of all business activities. The collapse was linked to financial instability and simultaneous criminal charges brought by the US Department of Justice against the parent company for securities fraud and money laundering.
