Originally founded in 1954 as the credit union for employees of the Newport News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Company, the institution was rebranded as Baylands Family Credit Union in 1999 to reflect its expanded field of membership. As a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative, its mission is to provide quality, competitive financial services that meet the changing needs of its members while maintaining financial stability.
