Bank of Cardiff is a community-focused bank established to provide accessible and ethical banking services, including savings and loans, to individuals and small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) within Cardiff. Its mission is to support the local economy by keeping money circulating within the community. The bank is part of the Community Savings Bank Association (CSBA) network. As of late 2023, its parent company, South West Wales Community Bank Limited, is in the process of applying to the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) for a full UK banking licence.
