Founded in the late 19th century, Banca di Cagliari S.p.A. was a key financial institution based in Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia, Italy. The bank provided traditional retail and commercial banking services to individuals and businesses primarily within its local region. After over a century of operations, as part of a consolidation trend in the Italian banking sector, Banca di Cagliari was incorporated by merger into Banco di Sardegna (part of the BPER Banca Group) on February 14, 2000, and ceased to exist as an independent entity.
