Ascendus is a U.S. Treasury-certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that provides capital, coaching, and connections to small business owners, with a focus on serving people of color, women, and immigrants. Founded in 1991 as ACCION USA, the organization rebranded to Ascendus in 2021 to better reflect its mission of helping diverse entrepreneurs "ascend."
