Founded in 1923, Andhra Bank was a major government-owned bank headquartered in Hyderabad, India. It provided a wide range of banking and financial services, including retail banking, corporate banking, agricultural loans, and NRI services. On April 1, 2020, as part of a government-led consolidation of public sector banks, Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank were merged into Union Bank of India, ceasing their individual operations and creating one of the largest public sector banks in the country. All former branches and operations of Andhra Bank now function under the Union Bank of India brand.
