Founded in 1991 and officially registered in 1992, Amigos SACCO Society Ltd. was initially established to serve employees of the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) in the Kirinyaga District. It has since expanded its membership to include individuals from various sectors. The society operates under the Co-operative Societies Act and is licensed and regulated by the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA). Its core mission is to mobilize savings from its members and provide them with affordable credit and other competitive financial services to promote their economic and social well-being.
