Founded in 2006, the American Society of Cost Segregation Professionals (ASCSP) is a non-profit organization established to be the premier standard-setting body for the cost segregation industry. The society's mission is to provide a forum for discussing cost segregation issues, develop and promote rigorous professional standards, and offer high-quality education and certification to its members. By doing so, ASCSP aims to enhance the credibility and technical proficiency of professionals who perform cost segregation studies, which are a tax planning strategy for commercial property owners.
