The American Property Casualty Insurance Association (APCIA) was formed on January 1, 2019, through the merger of the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI) and the American Insurance Association (AIA). It is the leading national trade association for the private property and casualty insurance industry, representing nearly 60 percent of the U.S. market. APCIA's mission is to advocate for its member companies' public policy and business interests in all 50 states, before Congress, and in international forums, promoting and protecting the viability of a competitive private insurance market for the benefit of consumers and insurers.
