Founded in 1896, American Appraisal was a globally recognized firm specializing in valuation, transaction consulting, and other financial advisory services. Its Canadian operations, American Appraisal Canada, Inc., provided these services to businesses across Canada. In 2015, the global operations of American Appraisal were acquired by Duff & Phelps. Duff & Phelps continued to build on this legacy, and in 2022, the entire company was rebranded as Kroll. Today, the former services of American Appraisal Canada are offered through Kroll's Valuation Advisory Services practice in Canada, which helps clients make critical decisions regarding valuation, corporate finance, and risk management.
