Originally chartered in 1961 to serve the employees of the U.S. Forest Service in Petersburg, Alaska, ALPS Federal Credit Union has since expanded to serve the communities of Sitka and Petersburg. As a member-owned financial institution, its mission is to provide quality financial services in a friendly, professional manner while maintaining a sound financial position. Profits are returned to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings dividends, and improved services rather than being paid to outside stockholders.
