Originally launched as Alpha Finance Lab, the project rebranded to Alpha Venture DAO to reflect its expanded mission. It operates as a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) with two primary arms: a "build" arm that develops in-house DeFi products (such as Alpha Homora for leveraged yield farming), and an "incubate" arm that functions as a decentralized venture capital fund to support and mentor new Web3 projects. The ecosystem is governed by holders of its native ALPHA token, who can propose and vote on the future of the protocol and its treasury.
