Chartered in 1935, Alcoa Pittsburgh Federal Credit Union (APFCU) was originally established to serve the employees of the Aluminum Company of America (Alcoa) in Pittsburgh. As a not-for-profit financial institution, its mission is to provide its members with a safe and sound place to save and borrow at favorable rates. Over the years, the credit union has expanded its field of membership through mergers and charter changes to include employees of various other companies and residents of specific counties in Western Pennsylvania, offering a full range of financial services including savings accounts, checking accounts, loans, and mortgages.
