The Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority (AIDEA) is a state-chartered public corporation established by the Alaska Legislature in 1967. Its mission is to promote, develop, and advance the economic growth and diversification of Alaska by acting as a development finance authority. AIDEA achieves this by providing various forms of financing, such as loans, loan guarantees, and conduit bonds, to businesses and organizations. Additionally, it directly develops, owns, and operates key infrastructure projects, including ports, roads, and industrial parks, to facilitate commerce and create jobs for Alaskans.
