Established by the Auditing Act, the Agency for Public Oversight of Auditing is an independent and autonomous public body in the Republic of Slovenia. Its mission is to ensure public trust in audited financial information and enhance the quality of auditing. The Agency is responsible for the licensing and registration of auditors and audit firms, conducting quality assurance reviews, carrying out investigations into potential violations, and imposing disciplinary measures to uphold the integrity and standards of the auditing profession in the country.
