ADC African Development Corporation AG was a publicly-listed investment holding company, traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (Entry Standard). Its mission was to build a pan-African financial services group by acquiring majority or significant minority stakes in banks, insurance companies, and other financial institutions across Sub-Saharan Africa. The company aimed to leverage its capital, management expertise, and network to foster growth and create value within its portfolio companies. In 2014, ADC merged with Atlas Mara, a financial services holding company co-founded by Bob Diamond, to create a larger, premier financial services group focused on the African continent.
