Established in 1969, Action for Agricultural Renewal in Maharashtra (AFARM) is a prominent network of over 400 Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and community-based organizations. Its mission is to empower rural communities by focusing on capacity building, technology transfer, and policy advocacy for sustainable agriculture and natural resource management. AFARM acts as a support and resource organization, facilitating training, research, and implementation of various developmental projects aimed at improving the livelihoods of farmers and rural populations within the state of Maharashtra.
