Founded in 2016, AccountScore was a fintech company that pioneered the use of Open Banking (PSD2) data in the United Kingdom. Its platform provides lenders and other service providers with direct, consent-based access to applicants' bank account information, offering deep insights into their financial behaviour for more accurate affordability and credit risk assessments. In February 2021, AccountScore was acquired by the global data, analytics, and technology company Equifax. It has since been fully integrated into Equifax's service suite, now operating as a core part of Equifax's Open Banking solutions.
