Ziglu
Information by Research Trustfinance
Founded in 2018 by Mark Hipperson, a co-founder of Starling Bank, Ziglu aimed to simplify access to cryptocurrencies. The platform allowed users to instantly and securely exchange money, offering access to various cryptocurrencies and foreign currencies at competitive rates. It was one of the first crypto-asset firms to be fully authorised by the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as both an Electronic Money Institution and a registered crypto-asset firm. In 2022, Ziglu was acquired by the US trading platform Robinhood. However, in late 2023, the company announced it was winding down its operations and officially entered administration on December 7, 2023, ceasing all services.
