Established in 2007 by the Government of Kenya, the Women Enterprise Fund (WEF) is a flagship project under Kenya's Vision 2030 development agenda. Its core mission is to economically empower Kenyan women by providing affordable credit, business support services, and market access. The fund operates as a revolving fund, offering various loan products tailored to women entrepreneurs, often through partnerships with financial intermediaries. Beyond financing, WEF is committed to capacity building, providing training in entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and value addition to ensure the sustainability and growth of women-owned enterprises.
