The company's primary business is to manage a portfolio of real estate-related investments, including residential and commercial mortgage-backed securities, residential and commercial whole loans, and other financial assets. In August 2023, the company rebranded from Western Asset Mortgage Capital Corporation to Westbridge Mortgage REIT, Inc. and transitioned to being externally managed by an affiliate of Terra Capital Partners, a real estate credit asset manager.
