Its primary mission was to promote financial literacy and empower teenagers with their first-ever payment card and digital banking experience. The platform offered a UPI-enabled, numberless prepaid debit card, managed through a mobile app, allowing teens to make online and offline payments securely under parental supervision. In 2022, Walrus was acquired by Fyp, a similar player in the teen-focused neobanking space, and its services and user base were merged into the Fyp platform.
