Founded in 1955 to serve the employees of the Burroughs Corporation, Vanguard Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative. It has since expanded its charter to serve the broader community. The credit union's mission is to provide its members with a full range of personal financial services at competitive rates while maintaining long-term financial stability. It operates under the supervision of the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).
