Founded in 1934, Utilities Employees Credit Union (UECU) is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned and operated by its members. Originally established to serve employees of utility companies in Reading, Pennsylvania, UECU has since expanded to serve employees and retirees of over 550 utility and energy-related companies nationwide. As a credit union, its mission is to focus on the financial wellness of its members by offering competitive rates, lower fees, and personalized services, including savings and checking accounts, loans, credit cards, and investment services.
