Urban Partnership Bank
Information by Research Trustfinance
Urban Partnership Bank was a Chicago-based community bank established in August 2010 through a unique partnership of major financial institutions, including Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, and JPMorgan Chase. It was formed to acquire the deposits and certain assets of the failed ShoreBank, with a mission to promote economic development and provide essential financial services in low-to-moderate-income communities in Chicago, Cleveland, and Detroit. The bank focused on commercial lending, personal banking, and revitalizing local economies. However, after years of financial struggle, it was closed by regulators in 2019.
