Established in 1997 and beginning operations in 2000, UP Provident Fund, Inc. (UPPFI) serves as a private, voluntary retirement and savings plan for the faculty, staff, and alumni of the University of the Philippines. Its primary mission is to provide members with a tax-deferred savings option to supplement their retirement benefits and other sources of income. UPPFI pools members' contributions and invests them in various instruments to generate returns, helping members build a substantial fund for their future financial needs.
