Originally chartered in 1954 as Oklahoma A&M Federal Credit Union to serve the university community, the institution later became University & Community Federal Credit Union (UCFCU) to reflect its expanded membership charter. In 2021, it rebranded to UFirst Credit Union to better represent its diverse membership and commitment to putting its members first. As a not-for-profit financial institution, its mission is to provide its members with affordable, high-quality financial services, including checking and savings accounts, consumer loans, mortgages, and investment services, returning profits to members through lower loan rates and higher savings yields.
