Founded in 1999, Unity of Eatonville Federal Credit Union (UEFCU) was a low-income designated, not-for-profit financial institution dedicated to serving the residents and businesses of Eatonville, Florida—the first self-governing all-Black municipality in the United States. Its mission was to provide affordable financial services and promote economic empowerment within its community. Due to financial challenges, UEFCU's operations were merged into the much larger VyStar Credit Union on December 1, 2019, to ensure continued financial services for its members.
