Formed on 1 July 2017, UK Finance is a trade association that represents over 300 firms across the banking and finance sector. It was created by combining the activities of six former trade bodies: The Asset Based Finance Association, British Bankers’ Association, Council of Mortgage Lenders, Financial Fraud Action UK, Payments UK, and the UK Cards Association. The organization's mission is to champion a thriving banking and finance industry, acting as a collective voice to promote a safe, transparent, and innovative sector that benefits customers, the economy, and society.
