Established in 1972 by the Government of Uganda, Uganda Development Bank Limited (UDBL) is a state-owned institution with the primary mandate of promoting and financing development in various sectors of the Ugandan economy. Its focus areas include agriculture, industry, tourism, infrastructure, and human capital development. The bank provides a range of financial products and services, such as long-term loans, equity, and guarantees, to projects that have the potential for high socio-economic impact but may not be readily funded by commercial banks. UDBL's mission is to be a trusted partner in Uganda’s transformation by providing innovative and sustainable development finance.
