The Tropical Landscapes Finance Facility (TLFF) is a pioneering partnership established in 2016 between the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF), BNP Paribas, and ADM Capital. Its mission is to finance projects and companies in Indonesia that foster sustainable rural development and land use. TLFF utilizes a blended finance model to unlock private capital for long-term financing of sustainable agriculture and renewable energy projects, aiming to deliver both commercial returns and significant environmental and social benefits. A landmark achievement was the structuring of Asia’s first corporate sustainability bond, a US$95 million facility to finance a sustainable natural rubber plantation.
