The World Bank Group - IMF African Society is an employee resource group (ERG) founded in 1974 for staff of African descent within the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Its mission is to foster a sense of community, promote the professional development of its members, and serve as an advocacy group for their interests within the two institutions. The society organizes various events, including speaker series, networking sessions, and cultural celebrations, to highlight Africa's development, heritage, and the contributions of the diaspora.
