Originally founded in 1860, The North of England Protecting and Indemnity Association Limited (North P&I) was a leading marine mutual liability insurer. In February 2023, North P&I merged with Standard Club to form NorthStandard, creating one of the largest providers of mutual cover in the maritime sector.
