Established in 1984, The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is an autonomous agency in India. It was created to provide fair and efficient selection and assessment services for clerical and officer-level positions in Indian public sector banks and other financial organizations. IBPS conducts a series of Common Written Examinations (CWE) and manages the entire recruitment process, from application to interview and final selection, ensuring a standardized and merit-based system for human resource management in the Indian banking sector.
