Founded in 1998, STOXX Ltd. has become a globally recognized, independent provider of tradable and transparent market indices. The company develops, maintains, and licenses a comprehensive range of indices covering global, European, and Eastern European markets, including the widely used EURO STOXX 50 and STOXX Europe 600. These indices serve as underlying instruments for financial products such as ETFs, futures, and options, and are used as benchmarks by asset managers and investors worldwide. Originally part of the Deutsche Börse Group, STOXX was combined with Axioma and DAX in 2019 to form Qontigo. In 2023, Qontigo merged with Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) to create the new entity ISS STOXX, positioning it as a major provider of investment insights, indices, and corporate governance solutions.
