Statewide Bancorp operated as the holding company for Statewide Bank, a California state-chartered bank headquartered in Rancho Cucamonga. Founded in 1996, the bank focused on providing a full range of banking services to small- to medium-sized businesses, professionals, and individuals primarily in the Inland Empire and neighboring regions of Southern California. On October 1, 2007, Statewide Bancorp was acquired by PMBC, Inc., the holding company for Pacific Mercantile Bank. Subsequently, Pacific Mercantile Bank was acquired by and merged into Banc of California in 2021, effectively ending the legacy operations of Statewide Bancorp.
