Information by Research TrustFinance
Originally launched in 2000 as Skandiabanken, it was Norway's first pure-play digital bank. After separating from its Swedish parent company Skandia, it was listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange in 2015 and rebranded to Sbanken in 2017. Known for its user-friendly digital platform, transparency, and competitive pricing, Sbanken grew a loyal customer base. In 2022, after a lengthy regulatory review, Sbanken was acquired by DNB, Norway's largest financial services group. While the legal entity Sbanken ASA has been merged into DNB Bank ASA, Sbanken continues to operate as a distinct brand and concept within DNB, maintaining its own platform and customer interface.
