Founded in 2015 by Peter Randall, the former CEO of Chi-X, SETL was established to deploy a multi-asset, multi-currency institutional payment and settlement infrastructure based on distributed ledger technology (DLT). The company's core offering is a permissioned DLT platform designed to allow market participants to move cash and other assets directly between each other, facilitating the immediate and final settlement of market transactions. In May 2022, SETL was acquired by the Turkish fintech company Colendi, and now operates as part of the Colendi group to build a decentralized public blockchain infrastructure for the Web3 era.
