Rydex Investments
Information by Research TrustFinance
Founded in 1993, Rydex Investments distinguished itself as an innovator in the asset management industry by being one of the first to offer leveraged and inverse mutual funds, allowing investors to target specific market outcomes or hedge portfolios. The company grew to offer a broad range of products, including sector funds and ETFs. Rydex was acquired by Security Benefit Corporation and later became part of Guggenheim Partners' asset management arm. In 2018, Invesco Ltd. completed its acquisition of Guggenheim's ETF business, which included the Rydex-branded funds. Today, the Rydex name exists as a product brand within Invesco's extensive lineup of investment solutions, primarily serving U.S. investors.
